
Elise Schwarz is the founding member of The Law Offices of Elise Schwarz. An experienced litigator, her focus is on commercial litigation.
Elise recognizes the need to protect her clients’ business interests regardless of the size of their endeavors and represents large corporations, small businesses, and individuals alike. She helps each of her clients protect themselves against those who jeopardize their livelihoods. Elise has consistently and successfully represented a diverse clientele in business litigation matters at State and Federal Court, in arbitration, and in settlement negotiations, all in the State of New York.
Elise received her J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law in 2002, where she was honored for her services as Executive Notes Editor of the then fledgling Business Law Journal. Elise also holds a Master of Arts degree (M.A.) in International Relations from The Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California, and a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. (hons)) in Business Studies from the University of Strathclyde, in her native Scotland. She is a member of the Bar of New York and the Solicitor’s Roll of England and Wales.
A recipient of the Safe Haven Award from Immigration Equality, and an awardee of the Housing Conservation Coordinators for her appellate work, Elise has also been awarded “Empire State Counsel” by the New York State Bar Association. She is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York City Lawyers’ Association.
